09/11. Slovenian foreign minister Karl Erjavec said that 20,000-30,000 migrants heading towards western Europe could flock on Slovenia's border -- the passport-free Schengen area's external frontier -- later this week, following the end of a Greek ferry crews' strike that contained the flow for days.
"We estimate Slovenia will rather likely soon have to face a number of migrants that will be hard to manage. Such a situation could lead to extremely severe humanitarian conditions," the government said.(AFP)
自 10/17 匈牙利關閉與克羅埃西亞的邊境之後，大量的難民頓時間轉進斯洛維尼亞 - 這個地處中歐全國人口僅只兩百萬人的小國。截至今日的統計已有近 17 萬名來自敘利亞、伊拉克、阿富汗與蘇丹等地的難民過境斯國，是當前歐洲最棘手的難題。
上週由於希臘渡輪罷工，大批難民們的移動因此而停滯，罷工已於上週六結束，意謂著另一波入境斯洛維尼亞與中歐地區的難民高峰很可能會發生在本週。
短時間之內，難民的議題歐盟諸國苦無解決之道。
